Oils that are best moisturizers for natural hair
There are a ton of natural hair care products on the market right with lots of exotic butter and oils to pamper your locs but there are only afew oils that will actually repair damaged hair and provide real hair conditioning. If these oils are not included in your favorite hair hair regime, I doubt you're getting the full benefit.
Coconut Oil
Now this oil is multi purpose oil that can mositurize your hair as well as your skin.
- I use it add shine to my hair.
- Apply coconut oil to your face tohelp remove makeup
- Apply it to natural hair as a deep conditioner
- Use it on ruff heels and elbows
- apply to you lips to relieve dry cracked skin
- Parachute Coconut Oil pictured to the right is the best coconut oil I have ever used. It is rish and unrefined with a yummy coconut smell. I got mine at an Indian Food store but you could try Ebay or Amazon.com to makea purchase
Olive Oil Natural Hair Moisturizer
Olive oil is great to prepare your food with, but it's also excellent as a hair moisturizer and treatment to mend split ends. It penetrates into the hair
shaft. It's best to get an unrefined oil (any grocery store will have it)that hasnt been destroyed by high heating. You can mix this oil coconut oil or shea butter and apply it to your hair before twisting, or braiding.Castor Oil For Natural Hair
I love castor oil for the hair. It makes the hair so soft and manageble, you can apply it to wet or dry hair . This thick oil derived from castor beans can be a little heavy for some hair textures like 2a, 2b, 2c and even some 3a hair types so you may want to dilute it will lighter oils like coconut oil.
You can get this from your local Whole Foods market or any health food store.
