My technique works on any hair type, and the results are flat and natural. No Lumps or Bumps Ever! Don't think that because your hair is natural that your "stuck" with just one texture or style. To do my Spiral Weaving method in this picture you will start my creating a base with your natural hair using a cornrows method. You will braid the hair in a circular motion until you've made about 10-12 cornrows going around the perimeter of the head.

1.Sewn end of the cornrow down and do a reinforce stitch to make sure its secure. (Use nylon thread, cotton thread is too bulky!)

2.Sewn each weft onto the base in a c shape pattern all the way to the temples of the head. Sewn on the seam of the weft for the flattest stitch.

3.When you have reached the temple area, you stop sewing in c shapes and sewn the wefts in full circles around the head until you have reached the top.

4.To close the top with out leaving a "cone" shape or a hump at the top, remember to sew in the seam of the weft not underneath because this will cause the hair to buckle and lift.

5.Sewn until you can't see the seam anymore then tie and clip excess hair and thread. If you are using regular weft hair you should split the weft in half with a straight razor especially when you are nearing the top the head.

6.When your done sewing, wet the hair and use a razor to cut and style the hair. I never use scissors to cut my weaves because I want that hair to hair movement and natural looking layers.
